IB Program Helps City’s First-Gen College Students

More students than ever before are signing up for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme at Temple High School.

The current sophomores are also the first students who attended the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) at Travis Science Academy.  This is not a coincidence.

In Temple ISD, IB is not just a programme, it's a culture of high level learning available to all students kindergarten - 12th grade.

At Scott Elementary, all students learn with a Primary Years Programme curriculum, then continue with MYP at Travis Science Academy, and have the opportunity to complete their IB degree at THS.

We're the only school district between the Austin area and the Fort Worth area to offer a true IB education K-12, and we're excited we can make this available to students around Central Texas with a no-fee transfer policy for students who don't live in our school district.

The International Baccalaureate program is similar to the more widely known Advanced Placement program in that it allows high school students to gain college credit through testing.

If you think an IB education is the right choice for your child, Temple ISD is accepting both in-district and out-of-district transfer requests until June 9.  Click HERE for more information, or to fill out a transfer request, and put your child on the path towards an IB diploma!
