Suzanne Murdough Named Director of Food Services

12/11/17

Suzanne Murdough is familiar with the School Nutrition Department at Temple ISD.  She served as the Assistant Director of Food Services before the Temple ISD Board of Trustees approved her as the Director of Food Services at their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, December 11, 2017.

Murdough brings more than 20 years of experience into the director's role.  She began her career in 1995 as a cafeteria manager at Lorena Middle School, and also served as the Food Services Director of Lorena ISD and as a Child Nutrition Specialist at the Region 12 Education Service Center before taking over the assistant director's role in Temple in April.

Murdough takes over as director for Angie Martinez, who began working in Temple ISD while still a Temple High School student in 1978, and has served the students of Temple ISD since.  Angie has lead Temple's School Nutrition Department to be one of the most successful in Texas.  She is retiring at the end of the semester.

While we wish Angie the best in her retirement and thank her for her incredible service to the students of Temple ISD in parts of five decades, we're excited for Suzanne.
