Welcome! My name is Chelsea Molton and I humbly represent our Gifted and Talented Program in the elementary setting. I have 17 years (and counting) of experience in our great field, to include teaching elementary students in self-contained classrooms and as a Reading and Dyslexia Specialist. Over the past two years, I have served as an Instructional Coach at Meridith-Dunbar ECA and as the Gifted and Talented Coordinator for our GATE Program. That program is now apart of the instructional day at the elementary campuses and my role has evolved from that advancement. This year moving forward, I am the Elementary Advanced Academics Coordinator.
I received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a minor in Reading. Years later, I was blessed to attend the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, where I obtained a graduate degree in Curriculum and Instruction, with Leadership.
I am intrigued by our creative thinkers and enjoy visualizing the possibilities of the effects they could have on Temple and our world. Here in Temple ISD, we encourage leadership, creativity, citizenship, and life-long learning to be an effective member and contributor to society. We want the love of learning to remain with our students throughout their education! As educators, we have the important task to support their dreams and aspirations and keep the fire burning!
