TAPS' goal, unlike many ghost hunting groups, is to disprove a haunting. They base their opinion on what evidence they catch on their variety of equipment.
The Typical Investigation Deals With:
The digital video recorders are set up in the rooms with the most activity, and try to catch ghosts manifesting themselves as apparitions, movement of objects, etc.
EVP is electric voice phenominon, which are voices of ghosts that are imprinted on electronic voice recorders. This may help support a haunting, in that you can't hear the voices during the recording.
When a ghost is trying to manifest itself, it must gather energy. Sometimes, the ghost will draw the energy from the air around it and cause a temperature drop.
The area's electro magnetic field is normally anywhere from a .2 to a 1. If a ghost is in the presense, it may cause a spike, raising the electro magnetic field. Although this gets very exciting, you must make sure there isn't anything around causing the energy spike, i.e. a microwave, circuit breaker, etc.
