James Madison' s Personal Life
James Madison was born on the 16th of March 1715 in Port Conway Virginia. He was raised in a family of twelve children and he was the oldest among the twelve children.He was raised in the Church of England. He spent most of his childhood life in Orange Country living with his parents on a tobacco plantation. Later on as he grew up he attended New Jersey University which is now known as as Princetown University. He graduated from Princetown University in 1771 after four years of studying. James Madison is considered America's first Graduate. After graduating from Princetown Unviversity he went on to marry Dolley Payne Todd, who was seventeen years younger than him. They had no children together. As the fourth President, Madison and his wife Dolley Todd moved to Virginia and started living in Montpelier estate.Madison died on the 28th of June 1836, at the age of 85 in Montpellier. After Madison's death his wife sold the estate in 1844.
