When he was playing club soccer at Gremio he was called by the Brazil under- 17 coach to play for Brazil.In the match he scored 23 goals, that is when he became well known. After the World Cup he was called up to play for Barcelona, were he is currently playing right now. He has won the World Soccer Player Of The Year two times. He is considered one of the best soccer players in the World.
