Thursday, November 9, 2006 --The Lions' Club of Temple announced the winners in their Annual Peace Poster Contest. One of our Bonham 6th Graders, Matthew D., has been named as this year's firstplace winner. Students from St Mary's, Alexandra B.,and Travis, Angel G., placed second and third respectively. Matthew's poster is under consideration for an even higher level award opportunity in the Lions' Club District competition. You can see it on the right side of this page. The Lions' Club expressed its thanks for the numerous, excellent entries, stating that they enjoyed judging the entries that were submitted. Congratulations Matthew, Alexandra, and Angel -- keep up the excellent work! |
