HyperText Markup Language (HTML) is the language of the World Wide Web. An HTML document contains plain text and formatting instructions called HTML tags, which determine how Web browsers display text, pictures, and links. HTML can be created using dedicated software like Dreamweaver or simple text editors such as Notepad.
