Instructions for Professionals
Please gather all the information that
you will need before beginning the application process. Your application
is not final until you click the submit button at the bottom of the page.
Once your application has been submitted, you will not be able to edit
it. You may however, return at any time to file a new updated application
with TISD. Applications will be considered active for a period of one
year. Please contact the Human Resources Department should you wish to
renew your application at the end of this time period. Please remember
to print a copy of your completed application form to keep for your own
records.
You will also need to submit additional
information to the Human Resources
Department in addition to your online application in order to be considered
for
employment. Please be sure to submit each of the following credentials:
- Cover Letter
- Resume
- Application

mail. You
may also use this document to prepare for the submission of your application
online.
- Copies
of Transcripts
Please furnish a legible copy. It does not have to be official.
Upon employment, you will need to furnish official transcripts.
- References
Please be sure that correct addresses are listed. If you have teaching
experience, please include the name of the principal for whom you last
worked; if you are a student teacher, please include your public school
supervising teacher as a reference. References will not be requested
if
the official reference form is not downloaded, signed and returned.
- Official

Please download, and print a copy of the official Reference form.
References will not be requested unless this form is signed and
returned. This blank reference form will be duplicated and used
to contact those individuals that you have listed as references.
- Criminal
History Release Form (PDF File)
TISD is required by state law to obtain
criminal history record information
on all applicants for employment with the District (Texas Education
Code
Section 21.1917). Please download, print, sign and return a copy of
this form.
- Teaching Certificates
Applicants who are not eligible for a Texas Teacher's Certificate cannot be
considered for employment. If you are unclear as to whether you are eligible
for a Texas certificate or not, you may contact the Human Resources Office at
(254) 215-8473 or e-mail hrstaff@tisd.org. Persons
with out-of-state
certificates must include a copy of their certificate with the application.
