How to Apply

School Recruiter (online job applications)

In order to be considered for employment with Temple ISD you must submit a completed application which includes uploading your resume and cover letter for all applications (See the Applying for a Position link on the left).  An application without these required documents will not be considered for employment.  Professional applicants and those applying for educational aide positions must also provide a copy of their college transcripts by either uploading the document as an attachment on the application or sending a copy to the HR department.
   
Individuals who do not hold a Texas teaching certificate must attach or submit their teaching certificate from their respective state with their application.  Out of State applicants will also need to have applied for credential review with the State Board for Educator Certification.

Will I need to mail any other documents to TISD if I did not attach them on the applicant website? 

Yes, professional educators will need to send in the following:

Is my information confidential?
Your information will only be shared with those individuals directly involved in the hiring process for the position to which you are applying. As a public entity, your application is considered  a public document and is subject to disclosure upon request. 

Can I edit my application after it has been submitted?
Yes, you may update your information by logging into your profile on the applicant website. 

How long will my application be considered active?
Your application will be considered active for a year after it has been submitted. At the end of that time period, you should either contact the TISD Human Resources Department to extend your application, or submit your application again.

How can I get in touch with the TISD Human Relations Department?

How can I get my password if I forget it?

What should I do if I have problems submitting my application online?

General Salary Information

The Temple Independent School District strives to maintain competitive salaries at the state and local levels for all its employees in order to attract and retain the best quality personnel needed for the efficient operation of the District's total program.
   
Administrative and auxiliary positions in the District are priced according to the skill, effort, and responsibility required for each job. Area and state surveys are analyzed each year to determine the latest trends in the labor market, thereby empowering the district to make the appropriate adjustments in its salary structure and to price jobs accordingly for the coming year. Additionally, staff reviews of the various jobs in the District are conducted each year to adjust the salary placement of District positions that may have evolved over time.

   
The published salary schedule is intended to serve as an important source of reference for all employees, in particular for administrative personnel in key positions in the development of salary placement recommendations. The provisions and information set forth are intended to be informational and are not intended and shall not be construed to constitute a contract between Temple Independent School District and any other employee, prospective employee, agency of the local, state or federal government, or any other person or legal entity of any nature whatsoever. 
   
The salary schedules listed are for the current school year only. Future salaries cannot be predicted as the Board of Trustees has a right to adopt a new compensation plan each year. The District hereby reserves and retains the right to amend, alter, change, delete or modify any of the provisions provided here from time to time in the best interest of the District as approved by the Board of Trustees.
   

Federal Teacher Loan Forgiveness Application & Tips

To download an application for the Federal Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program application.

1. Fill out an application for EACH school attended; matching school name exactly as it appears on the TCLI Directory – be sure to read instructions located above the search box:    
   a. Having difficulty finding your school after you have read the instructions?
      i. Use ASKTedto look up the official name of your school, it could be listed differently.

2. Have the Chief administrative officer sign off on the application (current – Principal, Assistant Principal or Superintendent at the school district)

3. Review your application to make sure you have filled out the school name EXACTLY as it appears on the TCLI directory (your application will be REJECTED by your lender/guarantor if the school name does not match the TCLI directory name)

4. Make a copy of your completed application before placing in the mail

5. Mail completed application to your lender, or to your guaranator for quicker processing.
   a. To find out who your gurantor is:
      i. Online
      ii. Call your lender
      iii. Or call TG at 1.800.845.6267

6. Please note if you attended multiple schools you will need to complete the application for EACH school and have the appropriate athority at each school sign the documents – and mail completed applications together.
