Accelerated Reader (in district only)
Accelerated Reader (AR) is a program that encourages reading. AR is available for students in grades K - 8.
Accelerated Reader - Home Connect
Students can log into Home Connect to see their progress in Accelerated Reader from home. Click on the link above and log in with your student ID number and regular computer login password. You can also go to AR Book Finder from this link.
AR Book Finder
Students and parents can use AR Book Finder to search for books by author, topic, reading level, or title that are included in the Accelerated Reader program.
Destiny - TISD Library Collections
Use this link to view the resources available in your school's library.
Discovery Education Streaming Video
Students can log into Discovery Education Streaming Video (formerly United Streaming) by using the user name "tisdstudent" and the generic student password. If you need assistance with the password, contact the Help Desk.
Encyclopedia Britannica Online
All students can use Britannica Online School Edition for its encyclopedia, dictionary, atlas, and video resources. Encyclopedia Britannica has 3 levels: Elementary, Middle School, and High School. Students can log in with the user name "tisd" and the generic student password. If you need assistance with the password, contact the Help Desk.
Enciclopedia Universal en Español offers resources in Spanish for all ages in two unique interfaces, each with its own comprehensive encyclopedia: Enciclopedia Universal en Español for high school ages and up and Enciclopedia Juvenil for ages 6-12.
Gaggle
Students now have access to safe online learning tools from Gaggle including monitored email accounts, digital lockers for storing files, homework drop boxes, blogs, wikis, and more.
Istation (grades 3-8)
In order to use Istation, you will need to install Istation on your home computer. Go to www.istation.com/IstationHome/TX and follow the installation instructions. When logging in, you will need to choose the school/domain (see the list below). Student log in with their district computer login (student id) and password.

Study Island
Study Island is a TAKS practice site for students in grades 2 – 8. Students log in with their student ID + @campus (for example, 897650@raes) and their regular computer login password.
Successmaker (in district only)
Successmaker is a program designed to help students fill in the gaps in their learning. Student log in with their student ID and regular computer login password. Successmaker is only available from a district computer.
Think Through Math
Students can earn badges and even contribute to charities while practicing their math skills. Students log in with their computer user name and password.
World Book
World Book is available to TISD students as a research tool. There are 3 sections: World Book Kids, World Book Student, and World Book Advanced. Students can also access the Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgo (Spanish Discovery Encyclopedia) from this link. Students can log in with the user name "tisd" and the generic student password.
