Communicating with Your Child's School

TISD utilizes multiple methods of communication with parents and students.  It is important that you provide a current address, phone numbers, emails, and emergency contact information so that we can  contact you about your child.  You can update your contact information online by using Family Access or call the school.

Email:  You will find the email addresses for your child's teachers in Family Access or on the school website.

Family Access: You will find information on grades, attendance, health records, and assignments here.  In addition, Family Access has a message center and calendar of events.  You can also download the app "Skyward Mobile Access" on your smartphone.

Phone Calls: All TISD classrooms have a phone.  During the day, however, classroom calls are routed to the main campus number to minimize interruptions during learning.  The receptionist at the campus will be happy to assist you.

Skylert (School Messenger): From time to time, you will receive automated phone calls concerning attendance, meal balances, general information, and emergencies.  You can change your preferences for getting Skylert messages (texts, emails, voice) by logging into Family Access.
