Biography

Mrs. Mathesen grew up in Temple, attending Cater, Reagan, Bethune and Bonham Middle School and is a graduate of Temple High School. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and a Masters in Educational Administration from Tarleton State University. 

Mrs. Mathesen has a strong commitment to Temple, having served Temple ISD for the past 20 years as a Special Education Teacher, Lead Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Grant Administrator and Director of Student Intervention Services. She is honored to have the opportunity to continue to serve this community as the Director of Special Education.
