When staff at Bonham Middle School found their US Flag in tatters following storms over the weekend, they wanted to ensure the flag would be removed properly and respectfully.
So, School Resource Officer Keating placed a called to firefighters at nearby Temple Fire & Rescue Station 3.
The firefighters brought a ladder to the school, climbed up the flagpole, and successfully removed the flag.
Along with Officer Keating, they folded the flag, and took it to VFW Post #1820 for proper disposal.
VFW Post #1820 also donated a new US Flag, which is now flying proudly above the school.
