School Starts Monday, August 28

We're brimming with excitement over the start of the 2017-2018 school year.  It's going to be another awesome year in Temple ISD, and we can't wait to have our students filling the halls of our great schools once again.

Remember, busses may run late in the morning and afternoon as families and bus drivers get adjusted to the new routes.  This usually only takes a few days, and then the buses are on schedule.

We will have about a dozen children who do not get off at the correct stop the first few days of school. If your child does not get off at the correct stop, please call your child's school.  If their phones are busy and they can't answer, call Transportation Dispatch: 254-215-6973.  Transportation operates a misrouted student center at 919 North 31st Street, and they will make arrangements with you to bring your child home, or have you pick up your child.

Don't forget the school hours:

Merdith-Dunbar Pre-Kindergarten: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Elementary School: 7:35 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.
Middle School: 7:50 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
High School: 8:20 a.m. - 4:10 p.m.

We need all students at school, on-time, ready to learn each day, but we also know on Monday it may take a little longer with more traffic around the schools, and people getting used to new routines.

Finally, as we welcome your children back, know that all teachers take The Teacher's Ethical Pledge when they start at Temple ISD.  This is something unique to our school district, because this is the level of dedication we have to instructing your children.
