After serving the students of southeast Temple for part of six decades, the time has come to say goodbye to the old Sarah T. Thornton Elementary School.
Temple ISD will hold a final walkthrough and auction at the old building on Saturday, September 30 from 8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
This is the opportunity to relive fond memories for anyone who would like to take a final stroll through the school.
They can also bid on a wide range of items, and take a piece of the old Thornton home for a very reasonable price.
The old Thornton Elementary School building is located at 2900 Pin Oak Drive in Temple.
The new Thornton campus, adjacent on the same property, opened as the newest, state of the art school in our area in August, and is now serving close to 750 Temple students.
