Private Non-Profit Schools

Private, non-profit schools may be eligible for federal education services through various programs under the 2024-2025 Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Title I, Part A provides services to children who need additional educational help and who live in Title I public school attendance areas. Services can range from academic instruction to family literacy programs to professional development. Title II, Part A of the ESSA allows support for professional learning opportunities to private school teachers. Title III provides services for students whose first language is not English. Title IV, Part A addresses student support and academic enrichment. Private, non-profit schools that choose to participate in programs and services must comply with all federal requirements.
