TEMPLE, Texas — The Temple Independent School District’s annual Kindergarten Round-Up is less than two weeks away. This year’s event will be Tuesday, May 13th, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Temple ISD Administration Building (401 Santa Fe Way, Temple, Texas 76501).
The Kindergarten Round-Up is for all Temple ISD families with incoming kindergarteners. Families will have the opportunity to register their students with assistance from district staff. Representatives from other departments, including transportation, school nutrition, special education, and counseling will be on hand to answer any questions families might have. The district’s Health Services Department will also have staff members available to review immunization records. Families will need to bring copies of their student’s birth certificate, shot record, social security card, a verification of address, and parent ID to the Round-Up.
“The Kindergarten Round-Up gives our families a chance to meet directly with the people who can answer their questions and provide the assistance they might need,” said Eric Haugeberg, assistant superintendent of student services for Temple schools. “Multiple departments will be represented at the event, and we are able to bring everyone together in one location to make it easier for our families. We look forward to seeing our families on May 13th.”
