TEMPLE, Texas — The Temple Independent School District will be helping people get into the Halloween spirit by hosting a community-wide Trunk or Treat event next week.
The Trunk or Treat event will be held Thursday, October 30th, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the Santa Fe Plaza. There will be more than 20 booths, each featuring a different activity, along with free candy. Some of those activities include a drone arena, where attendees can fly a drone, a bouncy house, and face painting. There will also be performances from elementary school choirs and middle and high school jazz bands, along with a DJ providing music during the event. There will be free hot dogs and hamburgers available along with the free candy and food trucks will also be on hand. There will also be Wildcat spirit gear for sale during the event.
“This is an exciting event and another way to connect families, students, and our staff,” said Dr. Bobby Ott, superintendent of schools for Temple ISD. “We have always said that while some education institutions take care of children, Temple ISD takes care of children and families. We are so ready for the opportunities of learning and fun that this evening will provide.”
The event is free and is open to community members of all ages. Costumes are encouraged but not required.
