TEMPLE, Texas — The Temple High School Theatre Arts program will continue its 2025-2026 season with a three-day run of the classic holiday musical “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!: The Musical” starting later this week.
“How the Grinch Stole Christmas!: The Musical” brings the magic of Dr. Seuss’ classic holiday tale to life on the stage. The production features the hit songs “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” and “Welcome Christmas.” The holiday classic has been a book, multiple television specials, and several movie adaptions. In the story, the Grinch discovers there is more to Christmas than he bargained for. Max the Dog narrates as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is “two sizes too small,” decides to steal Christmas away from the holiday loving Whos of Whoville. The Temple High School production features a cast and crew of nearly 100 and also features elementary school and middle school students and musical accompaniment from a live orchestra.
“Audiences can expect exactly what they have seen from the classic book and movie,” said Kayla Stewart, director of theatre arts for Temple High School. “This production has all of the holiday cheer, super colorful and crazy costumes, and all of the songs that you know and love. We are so excited to share this production with our community.”
The show will be performed on Friday, December 5th, Saturday, December 6th, and Sunday, December 7th. Friday and Saturday’s performances are at 7:30 p.m. and the run closes with a 2:30 p.m. performance on Sunday. Reserved seat and general admission tickets may be purchased in advance at CentralTexasTickets.com.
