The Temple Independent School District is excited to announce the launch of our new logo, approved by the Temple ISD School Board at their meeting on Monday, July 13th.
The logo is designed to leave no doubt that Temple ISD is “Providing a Global Education in Central Texas” by putting our district slogan front and center.
Superintendent Dr. Robin Battershell said, “We were encouraged by several constituents to update our brand to better reflect the vision of Temple I.S.D. We have emphasized a global education through the expansion of our International Baccalaureate programs to Travis Science Academy and to Scott Elementary, implementation of a district-wide technology initiative, expansion of career certifications, apprenticeships and internships through our Career and Technology Center, and our diverse student body. We felt like the new brand epitomized this vision.”
The new logo spells out Temple, an important feature to represent the pride we have in the city and community we serve.
Furthermore, Temple is spelled out in Wildcat Blue, representing the color that unites us all.
The “T” in Temple rests on the side of a gray globe, further emphasizing the importance of the global education our school district provides. “ISD” is also in the new gray color to make “Temple” standout in Wildcat Blue.
The red shooting star remains a prominent feature in the new logo. The star soars from the location of Temple on the map, off the globe where it rests off center above the “T” in Temple. This is a constant reminder that a global education from Temple ISD can take you anywhere in the world, and our students reach for the stars while in Temple and on the path they take after graduation.
The new logo will be prominently featured on the new Temple ISD website, set to debut in August, and will be phased in during normal signage changes around the school district.
