The Temple High School Encore! will present their fall pop show on Saturday, October 24th, 2015 at 7:300pm in the Temple High School Cafeteria. The theme for this year is “Hits: Then and Now”.
The Saturday show will include a soda, 3 cookies, and bag of popcorn. Tickets for the performance are $5. For reservations call the Temple High School Choir Department at 215-7241.
The songs presented by Encore! will be a variety of music from the 50’s through present day. Songs will include “Rockin’ Robin” by Bobby Day, “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, “Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac, “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by Tears for Fears, “Skyfall” by Adele, and “Blank Space” by Taylor Swift.
Solos and duets will include “I Can’t Help Falling in Love With You” by Elvis Presley, “Jar of Hearts” by Christina Perri, “Pompeii” by Bastille, “Sweet Pea” by Amos Lee, “Photograph” by Ed Sheeran, and “Love” by Lennon and Maisy.
This show serves as a fundraiser for Encore’s annual trip to San Antonio for the Caroling on the Riverwalk festival.
The 2015-2016 Encore! members are: Anysha Burnham, Mackenzie Corbin, Melanie Foutz, Kaiya Flowler, Bayley Fulton, Crystal Hassell, Stacey Mendoza, Lavincenza Pittman-Gonzalez, Kiahley Rector, Andylyn Schmidt, Jessica Tisworth, and Faith Whitaker. Dawna Mischtian is their accompanist, and Cameron Roucloux is their director.
