Temple to support Gridiron Heroes at Friday’s game

Gridiron Heroes Spinal Cord Injury Foundation provides immediate, as well as, long term resources and support to individuals sustaining a catastrophic spinal cord injury through activities associated with high school football.   Gridiron Heroes is a 501 (C) 3 Non-Profit organization.

During Temple vs. Round Rock home varsity football game, the Temple Athletic Training program and Student Council will be taking donations for the Gridiron Heroes Spinal Cord Injury Foundation.   Our goal is to raise awareness and money for Spinal Cord Injuries and the Gridiron Heroes.

The Temple Wildcats will take part in Fill the Helmet Campaign to raise money for the foundation.  Fill the helmet is a donation drive to raise money for the Gridiron Heroes Spinal Cord Injury Foundation. Inspired by the Valley Athletic Trainers Association playoff Fill the Helmet campaign, we want to take a proactive approach to helping young athletes who sustain catastrophic spinal cord injuries.

While every athlete and parent hopes this will never happen to them, we can do our part to help out and insure if another catastrophic injury happens that they will have access to financial help. Please consider making a donation at the Temple vs. Round Rock home Varsity football game on Friday, Sept 2nd, 2016. That night we will have tables set up at both the home and visitors entrance taking donations. 100% of the money we take in will be donated to the Gridiron Heroes.
