The Temple High School Choir excelled at the Region 8 Regional Choir auditions on Saturday, September 24 at Belton High School.
27 Temple students auditioned against over 600 singers from around Region 8 including students from Waco, Killeen, Copperas Cove and Bryan/College Station.
Eight Temple students were selected for the Region Choir, and of those eight, five will move on to the next round of auditions.
Students making the Region Choir are: Halley Ainsle, Chloe Brown, Ben Clardy, Kaiya Fowler, Dylan Prather, Andylyn Schmidt, Angel Tolbert, Nick Winkler.
Douglas Stephen is the first alternate to the choir.
Students moving on to the Pre-Area Round are: Ben Clardy, Kaiya Fowler, Dylan Prather, Andylyn Schmidt, Angel Tolbert.
Ben Clardy and Angel Tolbert were both first chair sections.
