Temple High School Student Earns Spot in Prestigious National FFA Band

Next week, Temple High School junior Courtney Massar will travel to Indianapolis for the National FFA Convention.

Her trip will also mark a national first for Temple High School.

Courtney is one of only 100 students across the country accepted into the 2016 National FFA Band, and it’s the first time a Temple student has received this prestigious honor.

Courtney pulls double duty at Temple High School.  She serves as president of the FFA, and also plays trumpet in the Wildcat Band.

It is her excellence at both that made her a top national candidate to perform in this exclusive band.

On October 15, Courtney will leave for the national convention in Indianapolis, where she will rehearse with the rest of the band, before they perform throughout the week at the convention.

We are very proud of Courtney’s accomplishments, and excited to have her represent Temple on the national stage.
