A Tearful Goodbye, A Heartfelt Hello

10/9/17

There's a new face on the dais when the Temple ISD Board of Trustees meet.

At their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, October 9, the board recognized former District 7 Trustee Jennifer Davis for her seven years of service on the board.

Davis was presented with a plaque made by #WildcatWorkforce Manufacturing students at the Temple High School Career & Technical Education Center.

"I've never been more blessed, except by my sweet family," she said tearfully.

The board followed by appointing Shannon Myers to fill the District 7 seat until May, when an election will take place.

Myers took the oath of office and took her seat on the dais.

"Those who know me know I'm passionate about serving the children of Temple.  I'm humbled to have the opportunity to serve students by serving on the Board of Trustees," Myers said.

She currently serves on the Temple Education Foundation board, and is a long time volunteer in Temple schools attended by her children.

Davis resigned because she moved out of the district.
