About Temple ISD Finance

The purpose of the finance department is to function as a trustworthy steward of the taxpayer's investment in education. Temple ISD is committed to transparency - ensuring that taxpayer dollars are spent efficiently and all decisions are made in the open and on the record. The finance department is responsible for the District's fiscal operations including accounting and financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, prudent investment of available cash resources, payroll, budgeting, internal controls, financial planning and debt management.

 

FOR THE TAX YEAR 2025, TEMPLE ISD IS PROPOSING A TOTAL TAX RATE OF $1.1372 COMPARED TO THE TAX YEAR 2024 AT $1.1489 (A REDUCTION OF $0.01):

I&S $0.3350

 

THE PROPOSED M&O TAX RATE WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S RATE.

 

THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 13.83 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $8.30.
