Temple Independent School District officials announced at the Board meeting on Monday, October 7, 2019, that the district received a "Superior" rating under Texas’ Schools FIRST financial accountability rating system. The rating is the state's highest, demonstrating the quality of Temple ISD's financial mangagement and reporting system. Temple ISD received this rating under the Texas’ Schools FIRST financial accountability rating system for the fiscal year 2017-18 according to Kallen Vaden, Chief Financial Officer.
The Schools FIRST rating system assigns one of five financial ratings to Texas school districts. The rating system consists of fifteen indicators each with an assigned point value. To receive the "Superior Achievement" rating, the district must receive a score of at least 90 out of 100 possible points. Temple ISD scored 92 points.
