Media Center

Location and Hours

There are several resources available for teachers and staff in the TISD Media Center. The Media Center is located at Freeman Heights Technology Center, 300 South 27th Street. The entrance is located on the corner of Ave D. Media Center hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Thursday and 8:00 am to 4:30 pm on Friday. Appointments are required (no walk-ins) and can be made by contacting the Technology Department at 254-215-6834 or the Help Desk at 254-215-6883.

Copiers

NETWORKED COPIERS: There are black & white and color copiers on all campuses, and a black & white copier (only) in the Media Center. The copier in the Media center is self serve. You are required to log into the copiers using your PIN code so that the appropriate copier budget will be charged. There are some colored paper and cardstock options available for your use.

Variquest Cutout Maker

The Media Center has a Variquest Cutout Maker. The Cutout Maker creates shapes and letters from 1" to 18". There are a large variety of fonts and shapes available. Construction paper is available in limited colors.

Lamination

There are 2 laminators located in the Media Center for use. The laminators are self-serve. There is a $0.10 per foot charge for lamination. This can be paid by cash or charged to a campus budget.

Posters

PDF's can be printed poster size. Be aware that you cannot add any copyright-protected images. Typical posters are 18" X 24" for $2.50 or "24 X 36" for $5.00 each. Poster requests can be made by submitting a Help Desk ticket and submitting your order in the "Poster/Banners" section under Service Items. Please allow up to 2 weeks for your poster to be printed.
